First of all, we should know that moisture and light are two factors that have a negative effect on saffron. These two factors have a direct effect on crocin and safranal in saffron. Crocin is responsible for the color of saffron and safranal is responsible for the aroma of saffron.
The question is how to take care of our saffron in Sharjah places
 The best way to store saffron in Sharjah areas is to store it in the freezer. You should also try to store saffron in its special container. Keeping saffron in the freezer freezes the saffron and makes it easier to grind.
Storing saffron in the freezer keeps saffron its original color and taste due to the fact that saffron is away from light and does not evaporate or lose the interstitial liquid of saffron.
Another method of keeping saffron in Sharjah areas
There is another way to store saffron in Sharjah areas. First, we spread the saffron strands in a dark metal container in the form of strands. In the middle of spreading saffron, we put a small amount of rice or a sugar.  In this case, the rice or sugar in the container will be quickly absorbed by the leakage of moisture into the container. Then we close the lid of the container completely so that air does not enter it.
